PRACTICE POLICIES

PAYMENT

Payment is expected at the time of service. I accept credit cards, HSA cards, and Venmo. Upon request, I will provide you with a monthly invoice (aka “a superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Insurance reimbursement can be confusing – Here is a helpful guide to how to figure out out-of-network reimbursement.

CANCELLATIONS

I require at least 48-hours’ (excluding weekends and holidays) notice for appointment cancellations. Because this time is set aside just for you, you will be charged the full rate of the appointment if you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice or no-show to your appointment. I understand that things happen outside of your control, and exceptions will be made for emergencies on a case-by-case basis.

CONFIDENTIALITY

As my client, anything you share with me in session is protected by law. I cannot disclose any information about you without your written permission. Exceptions to this are in cases of child abuse or if I am concerned for your or another person’s safety. In these cases, I would report my concerns to the appropriate authorities. Clients receive a more comprehensive confidentiality notice upon intake.

NOTE: I do not provide 24/7 emergency coverage. My practice is closed weekends and holidays. If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
