Frequently Asked Questions

What do your sessions look like?

My sessions are 45-50 minutes long. I help my clients to set the goals they want to work on in our sessions, and this will guide us in our work together. Session structure is dependent on a client’s goals and needs, and includes a combination of processing/exploring and practice building.

How much do your sessions cost and do you offer a sliding scale?

My individual sessions are $175 and my couple’s sessions are $215. I do not currently offer a sliding scale.

Do you take insurance?

I am an “out-of-network” provider. This means that I do not work directly with any insurance companies, though your insurance may reimburse you for some of what you pay. Clients are expected to pay for the session when we meet, and upon request, I can provide you with a monthly invoice or “superbill”. You can send this to your insurance requesting reimbursement. I am happy to provide more information on this process if you’d like!

How will I know if you’re the right therapist for me?

The free consultation call is a great place to get a sense if you and I connect! But most folks try a few sessions to get a feel if this the right fit for them.

Where are you located?

All my sessions are virtual.

How many sessions of therapy will I need?

This is a great question, but there is no clear answer. Duration of therapy is dependent on many things, including a client’s specific goals and how they do in therapy. When we are discussing your goals, I may be able to offer general time frames.

How often will we meet?

I ask that every client make an initial commitment to meet weekly. This cadence allows for a consistency where we can observe and address patterns, see what’s working (or not!), and work on processing events in a timely manner.

Do you work with people who do not live in Pennsylvania?

I am currently licensed in the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Washington DC, and Vermont. I only offer therapy services to people residing in these states, however I offer coaching services to those located in other states. If you do not live in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Washington DC, or Vermont, and are interested in working together, I am happy to discuss this further.

How do we get started?

Reach out to me via the contact page on this site, by phone (215-650-3783), or by email ([email protected]) to set up a free phone consultation. During this call, I’ll want to hear a bit more about what’s bringing you to therapy and answer any questions or concerns you’ll have. This will help me ensure that I am an appropriate therapist for your specific issues.
